Korey HowellAs a University of Texas Alumni, Korey’s road to photography came through her love for art. At the age of 4, after discovering a box of 64 Crayola crayons, she whipped up her first art showing on her grandmother’s refrigerator and was hooked on the idea of creating art, and showing it. By the age of 14, she discovered makeup as artistic expression (it was the 80’s).
After graduating UT with a B.A. in Speech Communication, she found herself in the perfect job – a place called HEADSHOTS where people not only were playing dress up, but they were getting photographed, too. She was hooked!
Twenty years later, Korey has gone from makeup artist, to photographer, to studio manager, to corporate trainer, to VP of Marketing and Operations, to partner, to franchisor (20 locations) to sole owner, to former owner, to graphic designer, and back to photography. This time, however, with more of an artistic slant calling upon her breath of creative and business experience, as well as artistic design through Limited Edition sessions.
Her work has a well-established reputation in the Austin area for providing a professional and personable studio photography experience resulting in dynamic, flattering portraits. And her state-of-the-art photography, editing and retouching skills have delivered corporate and individual portraits to thousands of happy clients. You may have seen her work in the pages of austinwoman Magazine, and she is also known as the “fund-raising photographer” — putting her camera to good use for good causes like The American Heart Association and Austin Pets Alive .
Christopher HowellChristopher joined the studio in February 2012 to manage increased demand for Korey’s photography and make her work accessible to more people, particularly growing companies with on-going photography needs.
Christopher’s background of operations management and process development for several small retail and franchise businesses will come in handy as the studio continues to grow.
